~ Summer Reading Program 2015 ~
Get ready for an exciting Summer Reading Program as the Old Forge Library sponsors “Every Hero has a Story”.  Don’t miss this timely way to encourage your child to continue reading throughout the summer!  On Thursdays in July from noon to 1:00 pm there will be a variety of activities for children pre-k and up (K & younger must be accompanied with a parent or caregiver).  
At our kick-off on July 2, Noon-1:00pm, 
we celebrated our community heroes!
Military: Major General Russell Czerw
Police: Patrolman Anthony Capristo
Fire Dept.: Father Shane Lynch
School Bus Drivers: Jon Bailey
Teachers: Judy Ehrensbeck

The Schedule:
7/2 "Communities are filled with heroes come and meet some of them."
Summer Reading Program Kick-Off and Registration ~ Pen Pal sign up.

7/9  "Superheroes to the Rescue ~ Villains not far behind"
Teams will be selected,  Color and Name your Team posters,
Registration and Pen Pal Sign up,   Attendance Raffle.

7/16  "The Hero in Everyone of Us"
Photos taken of each hero participant and framed, Attendance Raffle.

7/23  “The Superhero Story” written by each Team
Color your own Mask,  Attendance Raffle.

7/30  Jeannine Laverty, Storyteller “Adirondack Stories: Tall and True”
Finale ~ Hero Sandwiches, Awards,  Attendance Raffle.

There will be refreshments and prizes awarded at the Finale on July 30.  The Finale will also feature Storyteller Jeannine Laverty  in the Gazebo at noon.  Her performance will be open to the public.  
The Summer Reading Program is funded by The Town of Webb Recreation Program.  To register your child , please call the Library at 369-6008 or stop by.  Last day to register is July 9th.
